The Lazy Bear Ranch, containing a total of approximately 138 acres, is located just a mile from the Town of Ridgway, Colorado, with every convenience including excellent schools, shopping, medical facilities and year-round recreation. Only three miles from Ridgway's State Park and recreational reservoir for fishing and boating, its also minutes away from Ouray, the jeeping capital of the world, with its shops, restaurants and historic mining heritage. Telluride's world-class skiing and jazz festivals are just a 45-minute drive, while Montrose Airport provides jet service to Denver, Houston and other gateways.
It was designed and built by an M.I.T. engineer/architect to enjoy an easy-to-maintain western lifestyle in Colorado. The galleried living room, dining room and an atrium equipped with a fountain and wet bar is floored in beautifully crafted stone. With generous decks and built-in stone barbecue and fireplaces, its large enough for relaxed entertaining, yet carefully planned to combine easy living with a professional career.
